At AIM, quality is built into every part — not inspected onto it at the end. Controlled production, complete traceability, planned inspection and documented release run through the whole process, so a component is right by the time it is measured and proven by the time it ships.
Our Quality System
Confidence, Built In
Our quality system is designed to give customers certainty: that the part meets the drawing, that its history is complete, and that the paperwork proves it.
Built In, Not Bolted On
Quality is designed into the process at the engineering review, long before the first cut — not left to a final check.
Every Part Traceable
Each component ties back to its order, drawing revision, material batch and inspection records, through to final release.
Measured Against the Drawing
Inspection is planned around datums, critical dimensions and geometric tolerances, and verified on our CNC CMM.
Documented Release
Nothing ships without the agreed documentation — certificates, inspection reports and traceability records.
Controlled Non-Conformance
Any issue is formally recorded and reviewed; nothing is knowingly released outside agreed requirements.
Better Every Job
Manufacturing and quality data feed back into the next job, so control keeps getting tighter.
Quality Is Not the Last Step — It Runs Through Every One
From the first drawing review to final release, every operation is planned, controlled, measured and documented. That is how a precision component earns the right to ship.
Inspection
Measured, Then Proven
Inspection is planned before machining begins, around the features that define whether a part works. Critical characteristics are verified first-off, in-process and at final inspection:
- Drawing datums
- Critical dimensions
- Geometric tolerances
- Mating interfaces
- Bearing and sealing features
- Hole positions
- Concentric relationships
- Customer reporting requirements
Verification is carried out on our CNC coordinate measuring machine, with results recorded against the drawing.
Records
A Complete Record, Every Time
Every component is connected to a controlled production record, so its full history can be reconstructed on request:
- Customer order
- Part number
- Drawing revision
- Material grade and batch
- Material certification
- Manufacturing order
- Production operations
- Inspection records
- Final release
Documentation on Request
Depending on the component and customer requirement, we supply:
- Certificate of conformity
- Material certificate
- Dimensional inspection report
- CMM report
- First Article Inspection report
- Ballooned drawing
- Traceability record
- Approved concession or deviation record
Standards
AIM’s quality-management system is being developed in alignment with AS9100D. AIM is working towards certification and does not currently represent itself as AS9100D certified.
